Everyday Muslims At this moment in our nation’s history, a book like this is of paramount importance.  It serves two seemingly competing, but ultimately harmonious, purposes: it identifies the uniqueness of each and every female American Muslim contributor, but it also captures the ordinariness of Muslims, as a whole.  Once we accept that Muslims are individually unique, but yet collectively so similar to the public, in general, we begin to pave the way towards tolerance and understanding.  This book is a huge step in that direction.
